2011 5.0 Next Mod Suggestions?

So this is my 2nd post and I'm still learning a bit... so be kind.

I have a 2011 GT with a C&L CAI and 91 tune (+ magnaflow axle-back). I'm having trouble deciding on my next performance mod in the $500-$1,000 range. I don't foresee a supercharger or turbo in the future. I was thinking of a Boss 302 intake + BBK throttle body, or maybe 3.55/3.73 gears + 1 piece aluminum driveshaft. I'm also in California and want to stay smog legal... not too interested in suspension at this point.

I'm doing my projects in phases to not alarm the wife... she thinks I'm crazy that I drove a Civic for 10 years and just decided one day to drag her to a dealership and buy a Mustang!

What do you think is the next best price/value mod I should go with. Any suggestions or comments will help.

Heads and/or mide pipe maybe...gears would probably make a noticable daily driver difference...

Bout time you gave up that Civic . I'd go high flow mid & gear set. Prob 3.73.
