help for wheels for slicks

Will 94-5 Mustang GT wheels fit on the rear of my Brembo '12 GT? Anyone know offhand? I can get some cheap and I have 16" DRs in the house.

Well, the 94-5 waffles actually will tuck over the brakes, which was my concern. See this thread from elsewhere, if this forum will let me...

Issue isn't clearing brakes. The off set will push them out some from under the fenders...

Re: help for wheels for slicks

I expect they'll probably still clear on 255/16" DRs, with an unlowered car, not a ton of sidewall there. Might be tighter on ET Streets bias. With relocation brackets, the body should be moving up some anyway on launch.

WTH, it's worth a try, as I have the DRs and I can probably get a couple waffles real cheap, if I take the rashed up ones.

Do you know the actual #s on the offset for both, off the top of your head?

Well I run the 275 wide on the 17 cobra replicas with more then enough room from touching the fender but yes does stick out pretty good so I only use it for my DRs at the track

Really race stars are cheap. Can get in 15x10 and tires are cheap in 15 as more selection.

Re: help for wheels for slicks

Yeah if I was up to replacing them, I'd go that way for sure. I'd just like to use what I have until it's done then get something else.

I used to tap the fender fairly regular on my Foxstang at the strip. It was lowered but had lift bars in the back, using these 255s but, I had a Turbo Coupe rear in the back, which is wider, like the SN95s.
