Mods for 2012 GT

I just bought a black 2012 GT 5.0. I have already deleted the mufflers, and for the money, I recommend doing it. I'm looking for the next mod. I'm looking to spend around $400. Any suggestions?

Never get a tune, will 100% void your warranty

That's not 100% true. It can void the warranty on directly affected components if it is proven to be the cause of the failure. For instance, if you take your car in for the front control arm recall, they can't claim you have no warranty on your suspension since your engine is tuned.

You can also keep a bit of that peace if mind if you get a bama tune since they will cover your engine if things go bad because of the tune.

Also, redstang, keep in mind that not everyone is concerned with keeping their warranty intact and accept the risks of modding their vehicles.

Hey dude hows it going....invest in a nice cold air intake and sct BAMA tuner american muscle. I went with a C&L cold air intake im running a 91 race tune from bama and its like night and day. My 5.0 was awesome the way it was but after jut adding these upgrades i was shocked by the amount of power they added and for the price you cannot go wrong. Although i was alittle scared tunning the vehicle it actually has been running incredible. Hope this helps

I want to say GEARS, I am saying Gears, but you will need the "Tune" with those also, so it still goes back to Tune first.

Listen to this guy. I bought the bbk just for the fact of it keeps the factory warranty and all it does is every now and then you can hear the air rush through it. Aside from exhaust do suspension. With the right set up you can knock about if not a tenth off your zero to sixty.

The bbk don't require a tune either. but do gain with them of course.

Also look into Shorty headers. Gains some tq down low over the LT headers. And can run a regular off road x pipe. That and can still use if go Turbo later...lol

I'd say do the tune first, most future mods will require or be optimized from a tuner anyway (IMO). The other guys mentioned warranty... All mods are a risk.

Bama sct 91 performance tune. Big difference. Don't forget the Flowmaster exhaust system.
