New Roush Front and Paint

Finally able to get this installed and painted the way I wanted. Also had side rocker panels and stock rear painted. Thoughts?

The install was pretty easy. Just be careful when prying out the stock plastic liner with a screwdriver. I almost slipped and would have had a nice scratch over the fuel door!

Re: New Roush Front and Paint

Also just added Roush Fascia, Billet Grille, Splitter, Side Splitters... Looks Mean! I also painted my Grille Surround to match paint (base + Clear). It is an awesome (but way too expensive) front end kit!

Looks great! I've been waiting to install mine for a long time and glad I was finally able to. It really gave it that custom look I was hoping for. I like to be a little different. Ha ha

Re: New Roush Front and Paint

Looks sweet with the fogs hidden behind your Billet Grille... Did you splice the Roush on the same switch or install their wiring harness and separate switch?

I used the Roush wiring harness but I haven't finished the install yet. :-/
Its all in place and connected to the fogs, but I still need to run the wire into the car and install the switch. I'd love to be able to turn on all lights at once but I think it's illegal and I'm not even sure of how to do it. Lol

Re: New Roush Front and Paint

That will be the issue using the Roush Harness... it won't let you use the Stock Fogs at the same time... unless you get clever...

Re: New Roush Front and Paint

now if only I had $6k for the supercharger...

---------- Post added at 11:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:08 PM ----------

Msoler, have you considered painting the black plastic grille surround to body color?

it was pretty easy. Just lots of time prep sanding and wet sanding after the clear coat dried. Mine came out perfect just using rattle cans. The wet sanding, polishing and final wax made it match the factory hood/fascia finish perfectly.

Re: New Roush Front and Paint

Very nice, considered the grabber blue, but have always had white cars. I also color matched my lower body panels. Lots of people think I have a full body kit. Nice job on the rear facia. I like it a lot, but won't copy it...

I had all the other parts painted to match so you'd think I would have done the grille surround at the same time. I thought about it...but then I would have had to take the billet grille back out and that's more work! I'll eventually get a new grille surround though, because when I was putting it back on one of the plastic tabs bent back and broke.

It helps to have a body shop guy in the same local Mustang club! $300 total to paint all of my lower plastic pieces!!

Yours looks great too by the way! I think everybody should paint the lower pieces to match...it's def a better look in my opinion! That's why Ford's doing it from the factory on the 2013's!! Thanks Ford! But hey...it sets ours apart from the rest so that's nice!

Then you could paint them black...
Or paint them body color and certain areas black to keep your theme going.

Looks really good, thats the one thing I like about grabber blue you can do things like this that wouldn't look as good on other colors.
