2011 5.0 tire recommendations?

Any recommendations on good tires? I have a 2011 5.0 and need new tires. I have the brembo package and want good tires for cornering and straight line grip. It's a daily driver. I'm putting down 437rwhp so I def need good tires. 255/40/19. Thanks in advance.

Re: 2011 5.0 tire recommendations?

I've heard of a lot of people running NT555s on their DD stangs. Man I'm noticing a trend here...

Some people run Hankook Ventus V12 Evos, but the reviews around the web are mixed.

Boss 302 manifold, jlt carbon fiber cai, bama 91 octane race tune. No exhaust everything else is stock. My car was a dealer freak, cuz my friend had the same exact mods plus 3" piping and put down like 8 less on the dyno lol.

Nice! Any plans for LT's and full exhaust? Would see some nice gains with an updated tune.

Just to chime in here. How does ur car make almost 440 to the wheels with just those mods? I only ask cause u said ur buddy has the same mods and makes almost the same power. I did the math and u would have to be around 550 at the flywheel to put that much power down. So with those few mods u added 140 hp?! Hard to believe man. I'm not trying to be a dick just clarifying.

Maybe it was one of those dynos that "speculates" as to what the power at the crank would be?

I think our math is off.. If he was at 550 flywheel he would be pushing well over 437 to the wheels.. Ya don't lose 113hp through the drivetrain.. Prolly more around 480-500 flywheel..

The general loss from flywheel to wheel is 20%. Example the 5.0 makes about 412 flywheel and puts down about 330. 20% of 412 roughly 80hp loss to wheels. I went to school for this man. Again not being a dick.

It's actually around 12-15% in these cars. Most people run their numbers with 15% to be on the safe side. I'm assuming manual transmission btw ... auto is a whole different animal that I can't help you with.

There are Dyno numbers across the forums showing up to 380 in stock form. Ford Definitely underrated the Coyote, Like most other Manufacturers do.

Lol all cars are diff.. The terminators were rated at 390 and have seen more than one bone stock dyno at 380+rwhp.. On my 04 GT auto there was about a 23% loss and about 18% on a manual.. My buddy took his '11 5.0 to street machine nationals and dynoed at 377 w nothing but mufflers.. Not even axle backs just mufflers welded in.. I'm also not tryin to be an *** just setting the facts straight.. I dunno when you went to school but things are changing at rapid speed now on all vehicles... Even a mechanic straight out of school can be behind in a matter of months..

550 at the fly wheel? And u went to school for this? My car put down 370rwhp stock. And u only lose about 14-17%. So you're looking at a max around 510 crank power. Most stock 5.0's are making between 350-370 rwhp stock. I've seen a guy even get 390. Plus with these mods, most ppl are averaging around 425-440 rwhp. YouTube it.

Thank you, atleast someone understands. And I just checked my dyno sheet, it was 433 n my buddy was 427. Thought the 7 was mine lol. Nonetheless it's still great.

Obviously these cars are all over the place cause the AM Dyno run shows a 330 rwhp stock run. With a cai and tune it showed a 52hp increase. So I guess it's all on the particular car. Appreciate the info guys.

Honestly didn't like my 555's at all. Do like my nt05's though. I'm inclined to try some invos though.

I have invos on the back of my 2011 5.0 right now. 295-35-20. Damn. That's all that needs to be said. Amazing grip. Better than the Michelin as plus I had. I blew through my first rear set in less than 10k. The invos stick so much better, and they're quiet. They seem to be wearing much better too. I only have about 1.5k so far but I'm optimistic.

The one they had was an auto and they are one the lowest auto's as well. Most auto are 355-360. Manuals are 370-380. The manuals seem to lose les and the auto not much more. Manuals seem to be about 12% les and autos 14% on average. These are real numbers. This isn't a old acr where the drive train ate everything or the rotating mass it need to move on the driveshaft was 90lbs.

Buddy has Invos on his turbo 07 with 3:90 gears. The tires grip and go, good ride for DD to. Although I can't speak for the cornering.

yelling you NT05's if you want the most grip. I know 775whp/700wtq Termi's running them. Invo's and Nt05's will suck in the rain.

I live in Cali too and when it does rain you just have to keep your foot out of the throttle. With 400+ hp and rwd your just asking for trouble in the rain. The invos have worked fine for me in the rain, you just don't drive them too hard
