Hit a tree and curb. I think both front axles are broken.

Looks like you bent the chassis, probably never be the same again.

That's a definite write off. If they want to fix it id say no. It will never drive the same and will never be worth as much.

Nope, but please put the engine in a classic as part of a retro-mod. That would be really cool!

Def a pretty penny in repairs if insurance does decide to repair, ive seen cars with less total and I've seen cars with more get repaired

I think that ones a total loss. Looks like your frame is majorly jacked from the way the car is sitting. Also ... there really aren't "front axles" in a RWD car.

Bad judgement call during rainy conditions. My dumbass decided to punch it a little and i lost traction at the back wheels, slid, couldn't regain control and ended up in a tree. Sucks. I feel so ashamed. Right as I did it this terrible feeling overcame. I locked the steering trying to steer away, but no dice...

Well, I don't know the proper terminology for those parts. But the steering is ****ed, and I'm pretty sure the curb did a nice number on my suspension. I think the reason the car looks twisted is because its on jack stands and one of them is sinking into the ground. Still wouldn't surprise me if they wrote it off. Trees are strong...

you never know till you know... some damage looks horrible and its not so bad... sometimes it looks not so bad and its totaled.

Its probably best if they total it and you buy a new one honestly if its more than just cosmetic... even then you get issues on repairs.

Re: Does this look like it can be saved???

I can't really tell you if it is totaled or not, but I know if it did get fixed I wouldn't feel real comfortable in it. Every time heard the slightest noise, I would be paranoid as hell. Anyway, good luck man..I know you feel terrible, but stuff happens. Chalk that one up as a learning lesson.

Scrap it but buy it back from insurance pull the motor trans and any good parts then scrap out the rest. What ever u can salvage u can ether sell to go towards ur down payment on a new one or u can keep for a hot rod project for later. Remember foxs and sn95s can be picked up pretty cheep esspecially if there missing a motor and or trans.

Re: Does this look like it can be saved???

Say me parting it out were possible(not really feasible being i don't have the resources to do things such as pull the engine, trans., loan to pay off on this car, etc.), how much would the individual components be worth?

Prolly 300-500 per main window 100 bucks per power window motor few grand for the engine few more for the trans say 800 for the rear end i dont know man it depends on the shape of the parts and what there going for. See whats good and look up what it would cost u to replace the good parts then say knock 10-20% off theyll go fast and everyone has the ability to part out a car its weather or not they have the confadiance and or motavation to do so.

im pretty sure i have the ability to do so, i just don't have the space to keep the parts, or tools(mainly the cherry picker).

They go really cheap on CL. You can usually get more than the car is worth in parts. In your case, definately. You don't have to take all the parts out now, just as needed.

Yeah I'm going through a insurance claim too bc I did some pretty bad damage hitting a curb. I'm kind of on the fence of repairing it bc of the problems I may have I the future. :/

I might be wrong but being a unibody car I don't think it has a frame does it?

In theory yes. Even a damaged frame can be repaired. The issue that I (and many others) have is that once you bend and break stuff like that, it never goes back together like a brand new un-damaged car. This is why the value of a car is reduced when it is wrecked and repaired.

Keep in mind that the force of that impact rippled throughout the whole car as well. Can you be fully sure how much damage was caused by that which might not be apparently obvious?

Not in the traditional sense, no it does not. It has some frame-like components though.

I flipped my brand new 07 gt and they repaired it even though I didn't want em to. Allstate told me the damage has to exceed 75% of the current value to total it. Took 10 weeks to fix and I sold it. Just wasn't the same after.
