Tires for brembo package

What are the fattest tires I can fit on the brembo package wheels? I used 295 hankooks on my lightning and I really loved those hankooks, open to any suggestions in terms of brands and size

Re: Tires for brembo package

whats their width? if 9 wide a 275 works good fits best, for a 10 wide 295/305, for an 8 wide a 265 will work but a 255 probably fits better

Brembos are 19x9. And that's a terminator (03-04 cobra). 275s are probably about the limit but it varies by manufacturer. They all generally publish specs on what tires will fit what size of wheel.

I remember my the owner of a mustang performance shop in toronto said you can go 275 on the brembo package rims....if you go wider they start looking like balloons from the side cause the side walls stick out

Re: Tires for brembo package

Well the wheel hop is not as bad,but LCA's cure the rest of that. With the cooler weather I can't say alot about the differences.Streets are just to cool to compare to what the stock p-zero were like.

No easier than on any other car. Any part you replace or modify is not covered under warranty. Replace suspension parts, suspension isnt covered under warranty. Tune the engine, engine isn't covered under warranty. It doesn't magically spread to other parts of the car that you haven't modified.

Pretty simple, but people try to mystify it and turn it into some big game.

275s on my brembo wheels.. Look great but I'm considering moving them to the front after the p-zeros are done and goin 285 on the rear.. I'd like to see some pics of a brembo wheel w 285s on it.. To see how much it hangs over..

Go on YouTube. There is a guy that has a silver Brembo package like mine that has 285's front and back. He says no rubbing or issues

TRUE....I am always thinking straight speed and less resistance. If road coursing it would have advantages.Could think of some other tires besides Hankook...lol... for it though. All the ones for it that come to mind are BIG $$$

Agree. If you really want the best traction there is you will spin some money. Cheap and traction don't go together. Some guy saying his 94 bolt on mustang hooked well hankooks don't mean a lot. Since it would have been like 230whp. LOL

Want best traction look and see what vettes/vipers/Ford GT's/Supra's all run.
NT05's and better tires if they want best traction and are pushing some power.

I just got a set of general G-max aso3's... They were one of the cheapest 19's out there w a 480 tread rating also... It's been cold since I got them but as far as I can tell traction seems better than the p-zeros... Especially since the pzeros are not meant to be driven in temps below 40...
