Tire size question?

Most staggered sets of wheels are 18x9/10 but if you jump up to 19s the width is 9.5. Can we not fit 10 inch wide 19s on our cars?

Yes you can! I have seen staggered 19 inch sets on American muscle website. I am trying to decide myself on either 18s or 19s. I have tge stock 19s now but I hear 18s are cheaper and way more tire selection

Re: Tire size question?

width matters not vs size its just how they make them... that is as long as the overall height of the tire is the same it will fit just like a 17 or 22

Re: Tire size question?

305 or a 295 would probably work good on a 10 wide, no less than a 295... you could go as wide as a 315

Depends on the tire manufacturer, they all list recommended wheel sizes on their site. I know that Nitto recommends a 10" wheel for their 285 and 305 NT05Rs on 18s, but recommend an 11" wheel for 315.

The key that I always push for when the staggered stance is an option is to make sure the overall diameter is the same or just a tad larger in the rear. I really can't stand when the sidewall hight is smaller in the rear...

Re: Tire size question?

You can go with a 11" if the off set is right.

Do you happen to know what that offset is?

Re: Tire size question?

as said above EVERY tire manuf. has different widths... its not standard. You may have to look for pics of X tire on X rim to see how it works.
