Panhard bar

About to order one at work.. J&M or maximum motorsports? Is it worth the extra $50 for the MM or will the j&m be just fine?

Re: Panhard bar

I'm a huge fan of UPR, you might want to check theirs out. They have them with poly and spherical ends...

Re: Panhard bar

If you're up for spending the money, a Watts Linkage is a better option than a panhard bar IF you're going to do any heavy road course or autox racing...If it's just a street driver, then it's really not worth the extra money...

DD.. I live in Arkansas so there aren't any road courses.. Other than the curvy *** roads we got here.. Only make a couple trips to the drag strip a year..

I got the j&m adjustable one off AM and it works fine for me. I needed it to re-align the rear after lowering it and that did exactly what I needed for my DD.

Re: Panhard bar

The poly ends will be quieter then the Spherical ends. The Solid spherical ends will transmit a lot more noise.

So being a dd I prolly wanna go w the poly end right? Would I really even gain anything from having the spherical ends?

Those are poly ends..
With the panhard bar nope. On the LCA's with a stick car you would want th espherical ends. I split a buching in my manual car launching hard.

So might as well go with the j&m aluminum bar w poly ends? A lil softer ride than the spherical and quieter.. I assume the only advantage to a spherical end is strength?

Ya I already have the Steeda control arms w the poly ends and it's quite a bit rougher and louder when I hit bumps.. I couldn't imagine spherical ends on them.. Roads are too rough here.. Where did yours split at? The poly or the actual end ring?

Re: Panhard bar

I recommend this J&M panhard bar from American Muscle because it has Zerk grease fittings, poly bushings and the design is easiest to adjust on car (albeit you only need to do this once unless you change the ride height):

I have the BMR from LMR along with 2 friends ( 1 gt and a gt500) i would just make sure the adjustment nuts are not up in the bracket, those are a pain in the A$$ to adjust.

The poly bushing did on the body side.
