Opinions Please

I'm looking to buy these used Vossen wheels for $1250. They were on a car for about 6000 miles. Seller was asking $1500 and I was able to talk them down to $1250.

Good deal?? I think they'll look great on my car! Also, what tires should I get for them as there are none included. :-/

There not bad. There not really what I like but it's really more about what you think of them seeing as it's your car and your money. How wide are the rims?

8.5 front and 10.5 rear. What do you think price wise? I know the Vossen's can be a little pricey new.

Ya 1250 looks like a pretty good price.

I had assumed that they went scratched up. I figure if someone is going to spend a couple grand on wheels they would take care of them. But I have been surprised before.

Depends what you want to do with the car really, there is no one size fits all answer.

The wheels are 20 x 8.5 for the front with a 32 offset, and the rears are 20 x 10.5 with a 42 offset. How does that sound for fitment on a 2011 GT? I drive this car just about half the week with mostly highway driving and I also take it to the track for a few passes here and there.

I see that I have options for the rear of widths of 275 all the way to maybe 305 or 315's. I'm thinking 285's would be good. Is there a tire out there that would be good for highway driving and also perform better than my stock tires at the track? Or should I just plan on slapping some drag radials on another set of rims down the road? I was looking at the Nitto tires and also the Hankook Ventus V12's.

Like I said Nitto Invos. they will do everything they want. I had Michelin Pilot AS Plus 285/30/20 and switched to the Invo 295/35/20 and my gas mileage improved by a full 1 mpg from 18 to 19. the grip is really good and for the price you cant beat 'em.

You think I need to do 295's in the back? Also, any mods required to do that width in the rear? Do you have any suspension mods?

No mods necessary. With my wheels though so I don't know about yours but I think you'd be fine. I have and eibach pro system and have had no issues.

I had similar needs and went with 275 NT05s up front and 305 NT05Rs in the rear. The NT05Rs won't last forever, but I'm OK with that since it's not a DD.
