Re: Boss intake power pack!!

Then you shouldn't be to bad. But tell them you want rev limiter set to 7800 and shift 7600-7700. If not then your wasting your time.

The cai and boss intake/tune set up with 3.73's is a good setup but definitely raise the rev limit. I would recommend going full exhaust also it will help the boss intake setup alot.

What do you REALLY need to install the boss intake? I have a Steeda CAI.. I've heard people say that you don't need the install kit?

If you go without the install kit, you need a cai, a bolt, a piece of tubing (3/8" fuel line I believe) and two hose clamps. There is a write up for it out there if you search for it.

Don't need to buy a kit from them. Just get the M8 bolt, washer, 3/8 hose and clamps local for cheaper.

I bought the kit to save time on searching and sizing for all the pieces its convenient. the kit is cheap enough to use pocket change to buy and I don't have to go farting around a hardware store that alone makes it worth ordering for melol

Several guys have ran with the boss intake. Yet they all had full exhaust, tires, cold air, and really good tunes.

1/4 mile with a C&L cai and BAMA 91 race tune and 30% tread left on the stock pirellis 12.5 sec at 114mph.... Stock exhaust except for the roush axle backs...i think with the boss intake manifolds and some DRs and good driving you pull off a 11.7 to 11.9

You guys are saying full exhaust. Does that consist of Long tube headers, off-road x-pipe and cat back? Cause I have Axelbacks and wanted to keep them

Axlebacks are part of a full exhaust.. Full exhaust meaning you've replaced the FULL exhaust.. Header to tip..

Exhaust doesn't do much. Friend n i have identical mods (boss manifold, jlt cf cai, custom tune) but he had full exhaust n I didn't n I made 6 more rwhp than he did, unless my car is a factory freak. N I made 2lbs more torque.

If he had full exhaust and u didn't and made more power than something is seriously wrong with his car! Post your dyno results buddy. And also what type of dyno did both of you use? Was the weather the same when u both did ur dyno's? Do you both live in the same area? There is no way u should make more power than him! I know this for fact.

Mods done on same day and used the same dyno. Look u don't have to get so offensive or an exhaust. Long tubes will prolly only give u 15rwhp. And EVERY SINGLE CAR IS DIFFERENT.

He's not getting offensive, it's just what you are saying make no sense and sound ridiculous and he is curious. When you make claims like that ppl are going to ask for proof, pretty simple.
