I just put on some BBK CAT deletes. And with my Pypes axle backs, the straight pipe type, the car is just stupid loud. I have an x-pipe on the way so I'm guessing it's gonna get even louder. Does anyone on here have an off road x-pipe with factory mufflers? Heard some on you tube but can't really get a feel for how loud they are. Loud is fine but when I get over 2k rpms it's crazy. I'm not really wanting to go back to factory mufflers. But if I can't deal with the the sound I'll stick with the cat deletes and x-pipe for power gains over the muffler. And are there adjustments that have to be made to the tune for the axle backs? Can I just swap them in and out to see how they both sound without messing with my tune. Ty

Re: Axlebacks?

No tune needed for axelbacks so you will be fine putting the stockers back on.

The xpipe shouldn't be any louder.. It'll change the sound and make it raspier.. What made it loud was losing the cats.. And no tune does not affect mufflers..

I have the xpipe with resonator delete and muffler delete and have found the car doesn't need to be any louder. I had the cat delete but I always smelled gas so the sound and whatever performance wasn't worth it for me so I put a set high flow cats and I think that is perfect.

A lot of people use GT500 mufflers to tone it down after a cat delete.
