Can you afford it?
Which body style do you like better?
heavy modding?
Better resale value?
How much you're willing to spend?
Gas/insurance?
Frequency/cost of repair?
Mileage?

Personally I would get the 2011 but that's just me

Well I could afford roughly 200 a month for the 2011. But in my opinion. I don't like doing cosmetics to a brand new car. It makes it look cheap.

Re: Helpppp.!

Umm, yeah, there haven't been 200/mo car payments since, what, 1980?

If you can actually afford the 2011-12, you'll be way happier with the car than with the 4.6 boat anchor 04 GT.

My payment is less than 200 a month!.. It all depends on how much you put down and how long you finance it for!..

How much was your car.

Even with a 2.99% and 6 yrs his payment would be about 300 on the 2011.

My car is an '04 GT!.. It was 16,500 and I dropped half that in cash!.. I got it back in April of '07 and financed for five years!..

Re: Helpppp.!

Ay man just google a car loan calculator and plug in the numbers. That way you can figure out what you need to put down to get your payments where you want them. Just an idea though, to get your payments around 200 a month you are going to need the total cost probably closer to $10k. Maybe you should just get the other until you can afford more per month.

Not a bad idea. What about a certified pre owned '06 they go for 16k I believe.

I had an 04 GT.. I have a 2011 GT now.. A whole other car.. If you can afford it go with the 5.0.. 152 more hp STOCK.. I have aftermarket performance springs and it still rides smoother than my 04..

That's crazy! I payed 18,500 for my 03 GT in 2003 and later that year bought a brand new 04 GT for 24,500.. 16,500 is really high for a 4 year old mustang gt..

It barely had 24,000 miles on it!.. And blue booked at about $20,000 at the time!.. $16,500 including tax, title, out the door!.. Really not a bad deal!..

I love my 04, but I would've gotten the 2011 if I had the money. That 5.0 is a monster. It all comes down to what you can realistically afford.

You paid 18,000 for a car that had 18,000 miles on it?.. And it was about a year old maybe?.. My car had 24,000 on it!.. That's 6,000 a year!.. Your car had 18,000 put on it in one year!.. My car came with all service records from the previous owner, and the whole nine yards!.. And like I said it blue booked for about $20,000 at the time!.. My car was in mint condition when I got it!.. Literally every dent, ding, and scratch on it happened after I got the car!.. The previous owner said he garage kept it and only drove it in the summer!.. It never saw a winter road until I got it!..

Sorry typo.. 13k.. Year and a half old.. My car was owned by a 40yr old lady garage kept and also had no scratches no dings until I totaled it lol.. And not to mention it was an auto(not sure if yours is) which brings up resale.. Yes that decent mileage over 4years BUT that doesn't make it worth that much more.. And yes I payed 18,500.. Totalled the car got 13,000 from insurance and 5,000 from the salvage yard.. your car was 3 years older and only $2k less? All I'm saying is that it definitely wasn't a deal.. Not the worst but nothing to brag about.. And most cars sell nowhere near blue book..

Ya mine is an auto!.. But like I said it blue booked at about 20,000!.. So 16,500 really ain't bad!.. And plus having all service records on hand!.. The car was a lease vehicle and so the previous owner took it back to the same dealership for all of it's service!..

Well I mean like the stock rims are the best looking. They are nice. But the car would look good with that and fogged lights. I'm talking cosmetic. What else would you do to a new car.?
