Eibach/Roush/Dub Springs cheap

These are reportedly (there's a thread on SVT Performance) the same as the Eibach Pro-Kit springs ... pretty good deal at $125.

2005-2012 Mustang - Eibach / ROUSH / DUB - Lowering Springs - Complete Set (NEW) | eBay

edit: this is from the original listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2012-Mu...-/280831929147

Quote:
Q: This is eibach or Rush?? Whats the difference of the eibach pro kit and this? Why the pro kit is more expensive? Jan-13-12
A: This Kit is MADE by Eibach FOR ROUSH. We had a special edition DUB Mustang we produced and Eibach gave us Pro Kits to assemble on the DUB Mustang. Essentially, you are getting a Pro Kit, The only difference is that instead of having only the "Eibach" logo printed on the springs, it has the "ROUSH" "Eibach" and "DUB" printed on the springs. We have hundreds of these in stock and that is why they are deeply discounted. Thank you!

Probably need these to go with them btw.

Also, some guys on SVT-P were reporting you could "make a best offer" of $100 on ebay and they would take it. Not sure how to do that though.

Good looks. I just ordered a set. I wanted to get the pro series spring but was waiting to get some money. I couldn't pass up the deal!
There are only 8 left now

I need those bolts? They come in a set of two so I only need one order for the front wheels correct?

You don't have to have them, but you may have some negative camber after installing the springs. You could get camber plates instead, which are far superior but much more expensive.

When I ordered the springs I made sure it said they were for the gt. however looking at the paper that was sent it says V6. Does that matter?

Springs are the same for the GT and V6. Mine said the same thing, I suspect that the line on the packing slip just ran out of room.

The only difference is that the GT will drop 1.0" front and 1.5" rear, where the V6 will drop 0.8" front and 1.2" rear.

They are the same springs as these:

Anyone know if different bumpstops are needed with these springs? I have noticed "complete" spring kits sometimes have them included.

The Eibach pro-plus system with struts/shocks come with the bumpstops... I doubt the springs alone would come with that

I'm guessing new bumpstops aren't required unless new struts/shocks are used. Plan on installing springs myself and I don't want to damage my baby!! Just need warm weather to get started. Thanks for the replies.

I'll be installing mine this weekend (hopefully). I'll post anything that I run into along the way.

On a related note, Harbor Freight has a pretty cheap spring compressor if you need one. I'll probably be picking one up for what it costs.

Did part of the install yesterday... My spring compressor broke so that brought things to a screeching halt. The rear was really easy though.

Re: Eibach/Roush/Dub Springs cheap

did you use those Harbor Freight compressors? They had some rough reviews on them on the web site. i was contemplating just pulling the struts off, taking them to a shop, and paying them to swap those springs.

I don't know if it will work on these springs but I used the instructions from AM(maybe LMR) and if you follow them correctly there is no need for a coil/spring compressor.. Mine are frpp k springs though.. I'm not sure how much of a drop these springs net..

---------- Post added at 11:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:39 AM ----------

As long as its an inch-1 1/2 inch drop then you should be able to use those instructions w no compressor

Good for some stuff, low profile floor jack hasn't let me down and it's 1/2 as much or less than the if box store ones that still only have a one year warranty. I get gloves and zip ties there for cheap too. Spring compressor was a bad buy.

---------- Post added at 12:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:17 PM ----------

I dropped the spring/strut assembly and new springs off at the shop and they just called me to let me know it's done and ready to be picked up. $40 out the door, wish I wouldn't have wasted time and money on the spring compressor doing it myself.

I should have it back together tonight, pics to come!
