2012 GT W/Brembos.... Looking for Wheels.

I have the Brembo package and I want to get black wheels. It's tough to find wheels that fit the front brakes. Any suggestions on where to look for black wheels?

Get urs painted like I did! Cheaper than buying new ones and you don't have to worry if they fit..

My wheels, FRP Cobra R's, are painted black and cleared. Nothing wrong with it to test the idea of black wheels, or a black out panel. Just not my idea of a permanent solution at all... It's heavy, compared to paint. When you add weight to the car, that's bad, even worse when it's the wheels. To each their own, I wouldn't put it on my 6k car, and no way on my 40k car... Just my opinion.

Really, weight? Come on... if you leave a grocery bag in your car it would make more of a difference...

Re: 2012 GT W/Brembos.... Looking for Wheels.

Well...if we're talking adding weight PC isn't the lightest choice either. I'd rate it as paint, the lightest, Plastidip, #2 and PC, the heaviest. We're probably talking splitting hairs lengthwise again though, between PD and PC.

Look at the wheels I have. You can buy them at AM.You first need to decide on 18's or 19's.Most important is do you want to run a staggered set-up or not. There are several options out there.

AM doesn't really have anything I like that will fit the brembos. This would be much easier w/out the brembos.

My factory brembos were chipping so was able to get the dealership to repaint them under warranty instead of replacing them..

19's suck for many reasons. I have seen some very tasteful 20" set ups. FastLane has a sweet set up on the owners car(GT500). Like 20x10 up front I think and 20x10 out back looks insanely good.. I'll try to dig up a pic of Melvin's car for ya.

Yes he drives this car. AC works too. It's packing 4.56's out back.

Agreed that 19s suck. My car came with 19s and I upgraded to 18s, but if I was going for looks more than performance and ride quality I would have went to 20s.
