I have always been partial to the Boss 302. It was lighter and had much better handling. Of course my interest is more oriented to road racing than drag racing.

302 was an animal on the track but the 429 is legendary. Gota go with the 429.

I've always loved the Boss 302. My dream car. Although the 429 is pretty dang awesome.

70' boss 302.. Some guys I know have one w/o orig motor and Trans(has a 427) the car is in decent shape. 15 years ago they told me 10k for it. One of the brothers is the original owner.
That's unimpressive

Re: Boss 302 or Boss 429?

My pick Boss 429 rare and collectable

From Wiki:
The Boss 429 is arguably one of the rarest and most valued muscle cars to date.[1] In total there were 859 original Boss 429s made. The origin of the Boss 429 comes about as a result of NASCAR. Ford was seeking to develop a Hemi engine that could compete with the famed 426 Hemi from Chrysler in NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series (then known as "Grand National Division"). NASCAR's homologation rules required that at least 500 cars be fitted with this motor and sold to the general public.
