I am sure this has been asked but I was unable to find the answer that I was looking for when I searched the forums....if I put high flow cats on my 12 5.0 do I have to have a tune, and if I didn't tune how would that effect my car just a check engine light? Also could I have the o2 sensor put in the high flow cats?

Re: high flow cats

Non stock cats will throw codes ,overtemp codes , hi-flow / non-stock cats run hotter ecu will run rich to cool them . Mine did with LT headers / hi flow cats got a new tune fixed it right up.

Do you think it was the combination of the two that caused it and not the cats alone?? Just curious cuz I haven't ever seen anyone say they needed a tune w high flow cats..

The tune would address the excess fuel dump to cool the cats is not needed but car will run alot more efficient with the tune.
