Breaking the 200MPH barrier

I have recently heard that Shelby will no longer be partnering with Ford and that the SVO team will be attempting to break the 200 mile-per-hour barrier with the GT has anybody else heard this

well its never really been Shelby to begin with, SVT did all the work and just used Shelby's name on it.

A mustang GT 5.0 broke the 200 mile per hour in the Texas mile recently. Search on YouTube - twin turbo 5.0 Coyote Mustang.

it would kick *** if they make the tru recognized svt cobra instead of the shelby, people who live the svt cobra 03-04 would like to see that cobra letters in back of the new 2013 or an emblem that still makes the cobra model standout,
the max I hit in my 01bullitt was 170mph ,and that's because for safety the tuner won't let it pass that, also because of engine max redline, driveshaft vibration ect.,tire speed rating, but would be nice hitting thouse 200

Re: Breaking the 200MPH barrier

I hope the Shelby Tax is removed shortly.. I wouldn't mind seeing a sub 50K 500+HP SVT Stang soon. Might even trade the F150.

The new shelby will have over 1000 hp for the track and the regular street shelby I think was around 900 hp
