2011-12 mustang gt 3:31 gears vs 3:55 vs 3:73

I have a 2011 mustang gt with a 6spd manual with 3:31 gears and stock 18 inch tires. I have a cai and exhaust it has great power and good gas mileage. I was wondering if going with a lower gear would make much of a power difference? With the 18 inch tires it is lower geared than the gt premium 19's. I have hear additional power goes up in wheel smoke with 3:73 and stock tires. Let me know what you think

Gears will not increase power level. It will however affect the "butt dyno" and get you into the power band faster.

Depends on how much power do you want to run any power adder I think the stock gears are perfect for the street, but basic bolt ons work a little better the 73's. Im saving up for a whipple so im keeping the 33's. I will just adjust with different tire sizes for the way it is now. I would run smaller tires now to save me the gear swap then back to the 33's a year from now
