Well guys,

As many of you know, I ordered a set of Boss 338 wheels last week. I paid full price for the set of NEW according to the seller. When I recieved the wheels there were a few nicks on them. Reading the shipping reciept I find that these are blemished wheels but got charged for new wheels. The only other wheel I like is the FR500s in 20inch gloss black. The question is, should I keep the blemished Boss 338s or work in getting the gloss black FR500s from a local distributor? By the way, the seller tells me I can return the wheels but I am responsible for restocking fee of 20 percent. Thanks

Re: Bad News

Where did you get the 338s from and what was full price? Without tires?

I bought them online through a reputable outfit. I guess the seller buys the wheels from a distributor then the distributor shipped them to me

That was exactly my question. Plain stupidity by the middle man.

The only options here that I see are that I keep the blemished wheels are request a discount. Return the wheels and pay a restocking fee and purchase the FR500s. Or I can request a set of new wheels which at this point not sure if I should deal with this seller anymore.

Screw that..you paid for new wheels..don't pay a restocking fee. They sent messed up wheels..either they fix or report them and do charge back.

+100!!!

That's just straight ridiculous! I would be blowing their phone up like no one's business. Just make sure you keep all documentation and take pictures to back yourself up. The way I see it, that middle man needs to be squaring you away.... This is his fault. He's the one who needs to rectify this. He can either pay you back the difference between the new and blemished prices, or he's gonna eat the restocking fee with a full refund to you, and he should pay all shipping fees!

Restocking fee! If that was a local business, I'd say THAT is how you get a brick through your shop window! F that! They owe you!

+1 to what everyone said. You should not have to pay a restocking fee. Fight it and try to get this resolved, because this is not your fault and you shouldn't be held responsible for it. Good luck. I hope everything turns out well.
