Procharger or vortec sc for 11'5.0 MT 3.73?

Anybody running either one and if so what would make you choose one over the other?

Choose a paxton over both. It is a bigger head unit. Paxton and vortech is same company. It will make more power as your wants grow with out changing head unit. Also it is cheaper. Beefcakeracing can get best deals on paxton/vottech. He is sponsored by them in his 9 sec 5.0.

Thanks, I'll check them out. You think it's better to go centrifugal rather then roots type?

Depends on what want to do with car. Also power goals etc.

---------- Post added at 04:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:47 PM ----------

Also Jocelyn just made 1000whp with the stock head unit of a paxton..the vortex h will not do that with out upgrading it. Nor will a ptocharger with out upgrading to a F1.

Just going for a streetable car. Start out around 5 something on a base tune and then if I get a lil bored, step up close to 6. Nothing crazy, just a nice lil sleeper.

I thought about it but I feel like the big intercooler would be better for longevity and more boost later on if I wanted. The stage 2 from pro charger comes ready for 7 to 9lbs.

I make 10lbs on stock pulley with boss intake and paxton kit. On stock intake you will see about 8lbs. Plus it has a huge intercooler. Also procharger cooler sits more hidden under the bumper. Vortech comes with same cooler as paxton.

Remember with a stock engine above 10-12lbs you want to run E85 or race gas with a blower.

Nice! I wouldn't go more than 8 or 9lbs anyway. Just wanted the safest and most cool running kit. They all seem good honestly. I guess I'll just see what I can get a better deal on.

It appears that on stock internals...~650whp is about peaked. Not sure how reliable that is on stock internals though. Wnt2gofst probably has the most experience running max power on stock internals as daily driver...

For sure. I'd be scared to run over 600 regardless of what it can handle. Car is too expensive for me to blow up haha! I'd be happy with 550rwhp. Plus the sounds gives me a chubby, soooo good enough for me!

If you want that whistle blower sound...roush. Centrifugal will give a similar sound once the boost is turned up.

You can get best deal on the Paxton. You can get complete kit for under 4500.

Yes 650 is basically maxed on regular gas. Anything over that want race gas or E85.

I will be doing new tune soon by John Lund. E85 is going in. Looking for about 740-760whp through an auto with big stall.
