Trade in 2010 for a new 2012

A dealership is offering me $25.000 or more for my car in a trade in for the 2012 GT premium.
I drive a 2010 GT premium with 9500 miles on it. I love my car but the 2012 with a 5.0 is so awesome.
I don't know what to do? Any suggestions?

$25k is a good offer for a 2010, I wouldn't have thought twice. IMO, that's a "where do I sign" price.

I wouldn't of hesitated if I didn't have so much work done to mine if they gave me that price

Re: Trade in 2010 for a new 2012

I did the same thing with my 2011 purchase. It was a no brainer. I loved the 2010 but the 5.0 is awesome! You won't regret it.

If they giving 25k trade it..longer you wait the more it goes down. Once they get a 2013 they will say well your car is a year older now.

Go for the 12. You can probably talk them down more then you can on a 13. The dealer wants to get rid of the 12's so they can bring in the 13

Sure they do, but the guy they sell it to will have no idea. I got a great deal when I traded in my '11 GT Premium and they sold it in two weeks for more than a base 2011 GT was going for new.

That was kind of stupid the way they did that. I'd go for '12. I don't think you'll get '13 much below sticker.

Should of got the 12012. I like the new tail lights on the 13 but the front end is terrible.

Re: Trade in 2010 for a new 2012

My 2012 is black and it does look great. I would say $25,000 for a 2010 is indeed a great price. Keep in mind that dealers give and take away as part of what they do. Meaning on paper they say they are giving you $25,000. What is the purchase price of the new car? A dealer will offset one with the other to make a customer think the deal is GREAT!

Good luck with whatever you decide.

pay invoice, get rebates on top of it, new models are right around the corner.

also search for a 750.00 coupon in your name from ford, they send them out. You can request a book about a car from ford.com and they may send you one with a coupon in it.
