Are you looking for more HP because this won't add anything at all.

I ran the same time before and after install but I do feel more response and less restriction but also upgraded to S197 20 inch rims on front tires so I'm thinking they are heavier than stock 19s

729 for a driveshaft? RU kidding? Look at a local driveline shop and they can probably whip you up a custom one for about a 1/3-1/2 of that. On a stock car this is largely a waste of money.

Are you planning on putting 900 hp into this car? If not, I'd spend that kind of money on performance you can feel like putting it towards lighter wheels, a set of good shocks or a good tune, whatever floats yer boat.

Re: What do you think about this bolt on is it worth it

I think it is Shaftmasters that says it is worth 14hp due to rotating mass and unsprung weight. It is a good mod down the road. But you can get more going with the usual bolt-ons, i.e. cold air, x-pipe, cat-back and tune. What about rear gears? Do you have 3.73s? If not I would start there and then do bolt-ons. jmo...

14 horsepower? Sure....

You can buy alot more than this dubious claim of 2 tenths with drag tires, if that's what you want...

You lost anything that would be gained putting 20" rims on. Defeated the purpose of the drive shaft. Which is to drop weight. Also DA will effect the run as well. So if it wasn't the same as before passes with out it still harder to see gains.

On 3V they have netted some 3 Tenths. It is a worth while mod when N/A but one of the last ones to do. There will be more to be had from breather mods.

Re: What do you think about this bolt on is it worth it

For every 100 lbs or so you can remove from your car is equal to about 10hp. $800 for an aluminum drive shaft prob not the best bang for your buck but its a good start. I was just down in PCB, FL and a guy there had this exact one used in perfect condition for sale...$400. It was on craigslist. I bought a bunch of other performance parts from him so I can vouch for the guy. However, find something like this used to save some money if you really really want to add it.
