Anyone rolling with 20inch on a lowered Pony?

Need to know if anyone is rolling around with 20 inch wheels on their Pony that has been lowered at least an inch?

Any issues up front with turning, rubbing, etc. that includes any issues in the rear with rubbing.

I am pretty sure there would be issues with rubbing.

Stangs really aren't made for 20s. :p

Re: Anyone rolling with 20inch on a lowered Pony?

It depends on what year you are talking, the new Mustangs (05 and up)can handle 20's but you need to make sure you don't go too wide, and you need the correct offset. I have 20's on the 05 but it isn't lowered, I have a lowered Roush Mustang, but it has 18's. If you go low pro, watch your width and offset, yes you can go 20's...

I have 20x8.5 and 20x10 rear on eibachs... I did get slight rubbing on the rear when I had 2 full sized adults in the back... only happened once cuz I usually don't even put ppl in my car... also in the front its hard to stick a normal Jack or the lift arms w/o going on blocks of wood... besides that no issues at all

Re: Anyone rolling with 20inch on a lowered Pony?

It won't rub at all with a 1" drop. Ive had 20s on 2 of my S197s with a 1.5 drop and they are perfectly fine. If you go any lower you may have issues but a 1" drop and 20" wheels is pretty common.

Dont fear the 20......you can even run a 275 on all 4 corners if you like.

I'm going to go where so few have gone before. To the furthest reaches of the cosmos, to the lowest depths of the pavement. I've made it my personal goal to achieve a 2 inch drop while sitting on a set of staggered 20's, with no rub whatsoever! It will be momentous!

I don't think whether u have 19s or 20s it'll make a difference... its all a matter of getting the correct tire size

Re: Anyone rolling with 20inch on a lowered Pony?

the newer stangs are already rolled from the factory~ if you get the right offset its all good... if you get the wrong offset then you will potentially have issues of course.

I'm running 9.5 up front with 245/35R20 and 285/30R20 on a 10.5. No rubbing with Eibach's pro kit.

Judy pointing this out.. I realize he didn't post what year stang he has but it's a pretty safe assumption that it's a s197 considering that it's in the 2010-2014 section! And if you have anything other than that then your input is NO HELP whatsoever..
