Cat delete

Has anyone done the BBK cat delete or know of anyone that has? How did it sound with the stock exhaust? Is there a replacement for the o2 sensors so the engine light doesnt come on? Performance gain?

I just bought the BBR off road xpipe but I won't have it installed till Thursday probably. I'll let you know how awesome it is. Supposed to be good for up to 20hp gains. And a tuner will easily turn off the rear o2's so that the cel does not come on

He is right though. There are bungs to screw the o2s into. If you don't it'll be loud as hell and pretty much be the same thing as an exhaust leak

Well when we installed them, I started it up before I hade the exhaust completely connected. The xpipe is where it has ended.... Holy ***** it was loud lol. But yea it is pretty awesome. I'm just not sure if I like the sound of the hushpowers with the xpipe. Might need to go GT500's

Hushpowers tame it down a lot, the GT500s will be a bit louder but not ridiculous (like the Roush that I have).

The hushpowers are straight through mufflers, arent the GT500's chambered?

Well, the S197s don't have an X pipe from the factory (not sure about the other stangs), they have H pipes. We are buying X-pipes that bolt up to the factory headers and replace the factory H as well.

Ok sweet thanks man , see I was wondering if the guys that already had a after market catted x-pipe were converting that same x-pipe into a non catted by taking the cats off
