rear seat delete

Does removing the rear seat in a 2012 make any difference or worth uninstalling the rear seats. Its not like anyone can fit back there comftably

I think it's about 30-45 pounds of weight, not enough to make a huge impact if you aren't doing all around weight reduction. You would probably have a bit more of noise coming in from under the car without the seats to dampen it.

Rear Seat Delete Kit - Black (05-12 Mustang) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

This is insanely overpriced, but if you're handy you could fabricate something similar to cover the gaping hole the seats would leave. I would personally use aluminum with dynamat on the back instead of MDF since it would be a lot lighter.

If you have a base model rear seats equal about 30lbs. Not a lot but it all adds up. 30 here, 20 here and so on.

Where are you located? I have one sitting in my attic I could sell you a lot cheaper.

Just removing the spare tire and jack in mine dropped my ET's by about half a sec.! Every little bit makes a difference. I know guys who take out rear and passenger seats..... Especially when it comes to grudge races! Lol

Yup, 14.2 vs. 13.7 same mph was the same at 114

Scratch that.... I was looking at the slips.... There was a drop in elevation between the two tracks too... Whoops

Usually for every 100 lbs its worth a tenth

A lot stuff can contribute to that drop. As you mentioned elevation, 60ft, weather, track prep. The Jack and spare maybe get you a tenth if lucky.

Yeah, that's what I hate about el paso.... A stock lightning back home in VA would run high 13's all day long off the showroom floor.... Here they run 14's with mods! Altitude is a killer!
