Blow my 2011 5.0 or buy a Fox Body and go to work on it?

Torn between the 2. Keep coming up with pros and cons both ways such as keeping a warranty and having a car in the foxbody that if it breaks no big deal, fix it and make it better for a lot less money! Then again my 2011 would be real enjoyable with that Paxton kit making 8-9lbs.

Get to work on a fox.
You can make more power out of the new 5.0, but if anything happens you're on your own. I personally wouldn't do anything to void that warranty until it expired.

Either way you will be on your own unless you do the Whipple kit and have them install it.

if your 5.0 is your daily dependable driver and has warranty currently I would keep it that way

Damn this is tough. My 2011 I bought new in December of 11', got 7700 miles on it so its basically a weekend car. The money to blow it and pay for other goodies along with it would buy a pretty decent setup fox body. Found some that run the same as my 11' in an 8th mile for around 4-5k.

Yes, but a fox motor is a lot cheaper than a coyote. Everything is, really.

I know, reason I'm leaning towards it. And I can beat the hell out of it basically and not worry as much.

Keep the 11, buy a roller fox and go to town that way you can keep your 11 but have fun tinkering and building up the fox!!

Just depends on what you want I guess. I know some bad *** Fox's. But they have just as much money in them then I do my car. And more really. Local fox body runs 9.3@150+. Has a LS1 with Turbo in it. Another one a friend of mine has a 408 stroked in it with Turbo. He is a highway roller. Both cars make over 900whp. I know buddies build he has about 15k just in the engine build alone. And he hasn't even started on interior yet. It is pretty much gutted.

For 2011 for 4500-5000 you can make over 600whp. Be fine still for DD. And still run 10's. Depending if auto or manual you will want to drop a little and get a stall/clutch. You can get forged internals for about 1000 as well.
