gear ratios 2012 Stang

New to the forum. Just bought a 2012 gt six speed and was wondering what gear ratios are standard on this car. I'm thinking 3.31s, and I know some have 373s. I haven't taken possession of the vehicle yet...i'm wondering how I'd find out which one I have, the salesman had no clue...

Thanks in advance.

There should be a sticker on the diff on the back side telling you what gears you have

Thank you for the replies. A sticker on the diff? I'm missing something lol...please pardon my ignorance!

A bit off topic, but is it true that my car could run mid to high 13s stock??? I had a 89 convertible and it took a decent bit of work to get it into the low 14s...

All depends on the driiver/track prep etc. They have been as fast 12.2 with great conditions and as slow as 14's. Seen the 14 with my own eyes.

There should be a sticker on the rear differential under the car telling you what gear ratio you have

Correct, it is for an auto, he never said auto or manual, just 6 spd. But he probably was talkin about the manual

Usually that's what they mean when they say that

All good..most do mean manual when say 6spd. But most still don't know the auto is a 6spd also.

I think there is also a two character code on the sticker in the door jam that can be deciphered for the gear ratio.

3.31s, is it worth it to upgrade to 373s? I know 410s are probably the way to go, but that's a little too much for me I think...how much off my quarter mile time are we talking going from 331 to 373s approx?

Best qtr mile gear is 3.90s for '11+ manuals.. 4.10s are too low as our transmissions are gear lower than a 05-09... First gear is almost useless

I own a 2011 6MT with 4.10s, Boss intake, steeda intake, borla cat-back, bama tune, and drag radials and ran a 12.135 at 114 mph and 1.6 sixty ft, but I think the boss intake is hurting me with the loss of low end power, just took off the intake and replaced it to stock intake plenum and will be going to the track Thursday... Theoretically I should be well in the 11s but I will post time

Watched a mustang 6MT with just JLT intake and John Lund tune with 3.31s run a 12.2 so I'm hoping it was just that Boss intake... Any other ideas what could be causing my bad times???
