Well some what back on topic!.. About a year or so ago, my wifes uncle traded in his 2009 Mustang GT for a 2010 Camaro V6!... Lol

But on a brighter note!.. He is now talking about trading the Camaro in for a new BOSS 302!..
Why would any one want to go from a V8 to a V6? yes same power level with the two but the GT was still a few tenths faster both stock. Plus the upgardes are huge for teh GT compared to the V6. Least if he trades for a Boss he will come up huge. Hell a SS/GT/Boss/SRT8/even a Evolution will be leaps and bounds ahead.

He said that he likes the looks of the Camaro better!.. Didnt bother getting the SS because he don't need to go that fast anymore!.. He is thinking about getting a BOSS 302 now because he used to own a '69 back in the day!..

Why'd you trade the M3?
Honestly..... the fun factor was not worth the wallet pain. Great car, fast and very composed on the road..... to me that was the problem. The car literally does everything for you and the "driver experience" suffers. To me the rawness of the Mustang makes the experience more enjoyable..... but thats just me. My other M3 running buddies swear that their M3s are the best thing since Post Toasties.. to each his own I say.

German cars have always been high on engineering low on passion. IMO the only German cars with passion are AMGs.

The m3 is a great car. But I know what you mean. Not only that but they are so expensive to mod. Buddy has a 2011 he was looking at SC and they start at like 15k.

And above AMG's is top of the food chain.

I think it's funny how Chevy released the new ZL1 commercials and all these people posted comparisons between that and the "current" GT500. Ford waited and waited...let them have their short lived moment of glory...and then came out with the 2013 GT500's numbers. I can't wait to see a race between those two!

I do love my Mustang, but are there other cars I would drive? Of course...I just can't afford them! Lol

I completely agree with you. The GT500 will TEAR up the Zl1 in a drag race. Unfortunately I am worried about it in the corners. The current GT500 has sub par traction and so does the Super Snake. Hopefully they will remedy this by actually giving the car real tires.

Maybe maybe not. The ZL1 has already been 11.8 in the 1/4. Mustang's and fast fords said they thing mid to high 11's. Traction will be shat kills the GT500 as always. Chevy least gave there car a chance with a 295 or 305 option tire. Not a 285 that is current one. Also the boss is already said to still beat the GT500. In the turns. And the ZL1 destroyed the boss.

I don't think it's usually too bad on here. It's primarily just people sharing their own opinions and some people can at times go overboard. At least things have gotten back on track in this thread. Lol

Re: Just traded in my 2011 Camaro...

I keep reading about how bad the tires are and that the ZL1 will beat the GT 500 because of tires..... well lucky for us Ford fans......... Replacing the tires would be the first thing on my list of priorities. Seems to me like b^tching about tires is like B^tching about exhaust note.... both are easy fixes.

For anyone else that wants to bash mustangs and fords there are plenty of dodge and chevrolet forums out there to stay entertained but I promise they will not be as fun as these. Most of the talk over there is probably breakdown related. All I can say is I love my ford and will stay loyal to a company that knows how to prepare for tough times and most of all pay their loans back!

Yea I love BMW's as long as they are made before 1991, every since the demise of the wonderful e30, it has been all down hill. I have had a few e30's and they were extremely fun, reliable, and easy to work on cars. I will probably get another to be a toy. My Mustang probably will not be spending time on any track were she may get her pretty face smashed in on a wall.

P.s. e36's are not so bad, but the e30 was just so much more fun.
