why'd you ditch the G8? I saw somebody else on here traded their G8 for a new 5.0...are they not what you expected?

I loved my G8. When it stock I was handing mustang GT's *** whippings. Bolt ons and SC mustangs from 05-10 was getting it and new SS's. Ran even new modded 5.0's couldn't touch it less they had a good amount of models. And spraying I was beating vettes and all.

But it was bad luck. Two people hit it so had to go. Spent more time in shop then I almost drove it.

Vettes and gt500's was worse when a 4dr sedan smoked them. LOL

Video of setup..and pic at brothers house in Ohio after wash and wax.

I know, I know, we talked about this before but, I am glad to see a fallen rider back up, nonetheless. I only race at the track and they don't let cars race bikes, for some odd reason, something about the car wiping out across the centre line and killing the bike guy

I have zero engine mods on the bike and it has gone over 155 mph in the quarter on a crap 10 sec ET. Takes some doing for a car to beat that and it's only me that's standing in the way of the bike being alot quicker, obviously, given that trap speed.

Re: gaging intrest for 5.0 guys

It would be inspirational to have a hugely powerful car like that...the scientist in me wants to see someone else duplicate the claims of the 206 mph mile/9.40@150 claim made for the tt kit you're considering.

Basically, other than the pampered exotics we have around here, nobody has this kind of stuff. There's very limited places to run the car, due to intense traffic and even our local 1/4 mile track would boot you off after one pass unless you'd gone full on the safety gear, at least NHRA cage, ds loop, blowproof bell, jacket/suit, helmet.

So you'd have this explosively powerful car and no place to use it. That's part of my reasoning behind keeping power mods very light at this point.

The Guy I know who just bought one his car is legal to 9.49 already. He has his license for it and all. He is putting a different cage in it to meet safety standards to go faster.

Usually most these guys go to track rentals where it don't really matter. Long you have the basicas you are fine.

Our local track don't care though. I have ran 10's with no toll bar and know least 4 other cars that have went faster then me with out one. San Antonio is a whole different store. They will boot you quick.

Re: gaging intrest for 5.0 guys

How are they handling the oiling and drainbacks on this kit?

Once, for fun, with junkyard bits, I TTed my old 88 speed density 5.0. Fricking FMU and supplemental K-jet cold start injectors buried in the upper plenum handled fueling, har. That thing was mad. Eventually it squeezed an HG out and I went with the much more easily FMU-tuneable centri SC.

Its pretty much decided I will be going TT. Should be putting deposit down soon. So blower must go.

PAXTON FOR 3000 plus shipping. Which will be about 100. I should start pulling off Monday.

That will be the tuner kit.

You said on MF that I'm guessing your tuner suggested what you should do to your tranny to fix the issues, but you said you didn't want to, but I could have misread those posts.
