To those that sold their extended warranty

Well I just tried to sell back my 100,000mi bumper to bumper warranty. My finance guy was busy so I talked to a different one. Long story short. He tried to tell me that they would just take it off the back end of my loan and not cut me a check. I told him he was nuts and left. Is he right or am I the one that's nuts??

How said my note wouldn't change. That it would just come off the back end. So I'd be making less notes I guess. I've never heard of it being done this way.

The way they explained it to me was that they wouldn't cut me a check but they would pay the bank...and the bank would take it off the note...they took mine off the total financed...

Ok. Thanks. I'm gonna call my finance company and see what they say. I'm financed through 5th Third Bank.

Why would I need an extended warranty with a factory warranty?

Money in my pocket and if I mod much further than I have it'll be basically useless anyways. At least as far as the powertrain is concerned.

Re: To those that sold their extended warranty

I don't mean to hi-jack a thread but, at what point can you not sell back an extended warranty?

Probably when it runs out. The longer you have the warranty the less it's worth.
