I can't stand drone. On long trips that **** gives me a headache. Borla cat backs guarantee ZERO DRONE. If this is true, it's worth the money. If its not... That's one $1,800 brick I'll be throwing through their shop window.

Re: Does anyone have a borla exhaust??

I have the stock Borla on my 99 Saleen... around 2K, it will drone like a MF on the highway... My 2011 Saleen has Zoomers on it... it's louder at idle but quieter on the highway, actually a very pleasant drive... It does have a bark if you get on it....

Pypes m80. They have the crackle when you step on it or just a little rumble at idle. I had borla on my 99 gt and loved it. I heard the m80 and was literally blown away. To each their own, but i thought they were great!

Yeah, I have that with my Roush setup. In all fairness, I had this problem with my 2006 V6 and my 2010 GT that had stock exhausts. The interior build quality of these cars is total **** and rattles just happen. At least now I have an exhaust loud enough to overpower them!

What part of them rust? Unless it's the tips I wouldn't worry about it, the rest of the exhaust isn't stainless either ...
I saw it on (The Mustang Source) the front section of the mufflers at the bottom rusts from the water build up, the guys on that forum were talking about making a1/8 on each muffler to prevent that, even on new ones

I find AM to be more expensive than LMR with 90% of their products, AM wants $330 or so for the same thing

Borla's website says that it's illegal for them to void your warranty for having an aftermarket exhaust system installed...does that sound right?

I would think that basically anything that could change the hp/tq/handling could technically.. The warranty is for a 412 hp mustang.. Not 415, 420, 430 etc.. They could say adding 1hp caused you to throw a rod technically.. With that said there are very very few instances where this happens.. The biggest thing that most people don't get is that it's NOT up to the dealership to uphold your warranty.. If they have a warranty claim(engine, tranny, etc) they have to call in a ford engineer to verify/inspect..

The previous owner of my Mustang put on a Borla exhaust. To me it's just ok. It drones sometimes at highway speed, especially low rpm in 6th. Plus, they just sound ok to me. Ive had people tell me the exhaust on my R32 sounds way better than the Borla on my Mustang

Yup, 2004 VW R32. It has an EIP cat back competition exhaust on it and it always gets compliments. Even with the Borla on the Mustang, I have a very loud garage when I start up both vehicles lol. But, I have people saying the Mustang sounds good, the R32 sounds evil.

Re: Does anyone have a borla exhaust??

Most people on here ask about exhaust...and most people say the most common brands. What do you guys think is the best axle back to go WITH an O/R X pipe. I ask because some get real raspy or drone incredibly. I just want deep, loud, quality sound. I won't have a chance to hear this combo in person and there's only one real good youtube video for comparison, but youtube can only do so much for exhaust quality. Opinions? I was thinking about getting the new '13 quad GT500 exahust and diffuser with o/r x pipe...
