I won't have a chance to hear this combo in person and there's only one real good youtube video for comparison, but youtube can only do so much for exhaust quality. Opinions? I was thinking about getting the new '13 quad GT500 exahust and diffuser with o/r x pipe...
Gt500 mufflers if you're using an offroad x pipe.

My car came with dynomax exhausts. Is that a good quality brand? They sounds pretty good to me. No drone. Catted xpipe tho and side exhaust. I want to get an o/r x pipe but will that make my check engine light to turn on?

Re: Does anyone have a borla exhaust??

My Borlas dont drone with a ORX and a Roush SC, only reason i sold them to wheel is when i hammer down, its race car loud.. So i ordered the GT500 mufflers to quite it down a bit, otherwise i would not have sold...

That's the exact same way I describe my o/r x and Roush setup. Racecar loud. Might not be bearable for a daily driver, but it's great for a toy.

A lot of people say its only loud when you get on it and when your cruising you can barely hear it.

I've listened to countless exhaust videos on manufacturers websites and YouTube. There is no denying that distinctive borla tone. Only my opinion. That's why everyone is entitle to their own opinions, not their own facts!

Roush sounds as good and it's half the price lol. I think that's what I'm going to go with because economy sucks and I really don't want to put 1.5k out for borla.

I have borla on my 01 4.6 and it sounds amazing I wouldn't go with any other brand plus nobody around where I live have them I don't think any other brand can sound like it does

You pay for premium fuel and to make upgrades. Don't scrimp if you want the best. Borla is the best.

In your opinion.. Exhaust is in the "Ear of the beholder" if you will.. My favorite is one of the cheapest out there.. Gt500s and if I ever get rid of my hushpowers or get a '13 that's what I'm getting..

I'm sure there's cheaper setups out there. GT500 are still pretty good quality exhaust. Hell, you can pick up some Cherry Bombs from Autozone for $14.99 each and your car will sound like raw sewage. But that's just my opinion.

+1 just recently swapped out my hushpowers for GT500's and what an amazing difference!! Zero drone now. I loved the hushpowers but the GT500's give it that traditional mustan sound

Just wanted to report back that kystang615 gave me a nice deal on his Borla sports and they sound effing amazing! Loud as hell but you can still hear your music if you want, with otherwise stock exhaust. They have perfect tone in all gears IMHO, with zero drone. No fitment issues on a '13. Will take a video this weekend. Thanks kystang!

I'll have some video differences between stock and Roush once mine comes in next week so we can compare. I went Roush for $$ and plan to put the extra 1k toward the SC. Then I'll get headers, ORX pipe, and an aggressive tune.

Tried to do an in-cabin video today but my iPhone was full. Got a few other cameras and more time tomorrow. Will do better.
