BAMA Tune

Just tuned the car with the Performance Tune! Excited to see any gains. What kind of gains have any of you fellow members experienced with your BAMA tune?

Re: BAMA Tune

The performance tune was noticeable but the 93 Race is a huge difference!

Decent setup bro. A tune should really impact your mods well. I've got a 2.80 & 4lb lower but not installed yet. I haven't bout big enough injectors yet and was waiting for my tune to show up. So your Termi your dd?

No, just my toy ( money pit). Whats up with the lower pulley i keep hearing about? I dont know anything about that. I just put down 430 hp & 460 lbft on the dyno, was runnin a little lean and thats why the bama tuner will be commin real quick!

Nice toy !!! Yeah the lower is the crank pulley. The Bama will help that lean out completely.

---------- Post added at 09:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:04 PM ----------

Basically the lower adds more boost levels at WOT.

Would you say its a must? There is a way to put too much stress on everything if you get too aggressive isnt there? I mean you just start spjnning faster and faster, cant be good!

Very true. That's the reason I haven't installed them yet. I bout them used so I'm not pullin the trigger yet. Always it's my DD so idk yet. I've heard of huge gains w/the lower installed also. The upper pulley is great for immediate pull but the lower pushes harder when it's wide open.

With a blower car that your Modding I would really look into a dyno/street tune. A mail order tune with blower cars is playing with fire as a lot more can go wrong faster.

I dont doubt what you are saying but i have heard these things are quite handy and have alot of dyno time behind them! I do plan to check my numbers, if at the worst. I think my money will be better spent on something like this vs. 600$ swat to the nuts everytime i add something to my car!

It won't be a issue considering I'm still pushing stock boost & very basic bolt on's. . If I was increasing my boost then yes I would agree the dyno tune would be better.

Well, there is a whole page of discourse that has nothing to do with the OPs question, and doesn't even belong in this section.
