Is your car a Job1 (built before mid august) 2011? If so, you might want to have the throw-out bearing checked.

I'm not sure I'll have to check. Was there a recall or warranty with the throw out bearing?

I think that there was a TSB about it, but I can't find it. Something about the bolts not being tight enough and coming loose. I've heard that it can be ugly if it fails, so keep an eye on it.

It's like a tick that you can feel in the pedal when you clutching in and out. The dealer tried to make me pay for it. They said it was from abusive clutching. I laughed in their face and told them to cover it or they can have the car back. I had only had it less then two months back in 6/10.

Re: Clutch slipping?

Might have been the pressure plate, not throwout bearing. I can't keep track of the 20 or so TSBs there are for the 11-12 stangs =\

I have no idea then ... you might want to check with in the 05-09 section since they have the same engine/trans as you do. The 11+ setup is completely different.

I know, it's a bit confusing. They group the cars by body style here, not mechanical makeup.
