Noob with 2012 GT

Ive been stalking the pages here and decided its time to post. Purchased a 2012 GT base. 3.31 rear gears and a six speed. Doesn't come more base than that. She's black on black and her name is Audrey(breakfast at Tiffany's reference for those who know....) I have list of parts that will be a build as I go process.

Here's the list: pretty much on this order...
cold air intake - Steeda
performance tune - SCT SFX3(American Muscle)
exhaust - mufflers, borla s-type
exhaust - long-tube ceramic headers, JBA
exhaust - shorty (mid)x-pipe, JBA
shifter - MGW
steering wheel - polished
foot pedals - polished
seats - leather buckets
powder coat - wheels, badges (matte black)
And in the future, mute than likely a whipple.... But that's way down the road.

Anyone have this set up? What kind of power can i anticipate? I would prefer to run 87 octane just because I'm cheap. I'm thinking the the performance tune as I don't want the all out race tune. After 2 months she's already got over 3k miles on her. She's an everyday driver. My poor '09 f150 is feeling so neglected!!!

Also, I want to drop it down, but that's the one thing I have not researched too deeply yet. All I've heard about is the Eibach Pro kit. Whats the opinions on suspension for everyday driveability and an all-in-one kit??

Welcome!! I advise against 87, regardless of what kind of tune you're running. I highly recommend always running premium. Just a heads up brother.

Nice car btw

Welcome and nice ride! As far as the code, you have to make 50 posts first, at least that is what I was told.

Don't buy a sports car to put low grade fuel in it. Get the good stuff! Your car is appreciate it.

Re: Noob with 2012 GT

Echo the premium fuel ... you're spending a pretty penny on all those mods ... the 30 cents a gallon is a drop in the bucket compared to the parts you're buying. Don't cripple your enjoyment by being cheap.

FYI, I'm cheap too - and I pony up (sorry, couldn't resist) for the 93 octane every time.

Alright. I've learned that I need to continue posting. And swear by 93 premium fuel forever more. So what about the mods I have lined up? Any opinions??
