Rusted brake rotors

Hey guys wanted to see if anyone could help me I have a 2011 ford mustang gt with stock brakes. I drive it about 3 times a week and the rotors are starting to rust real bad anyone have suggestions or have brake rotors that don't rust. If someone could help that would be great.

Thanks
Jonathan

You could get some aftermarket stuff but rotors rust, that's just what they do. And the layer of rust they get is actually a protective layer to prevent oxidation deeper in the material

Ok thanks for your help so I guess there's no sense in getting other brakes then.

You can get other rotors aftermarket that shouldn't rust, at least not initially. But I can't imagine that anything would hold up over time against all that heat and elements. It's purely cosmetic too, absolutely no issues will come from the rust

The dew in the night air rust mine, I'll live with it til time to replace. Then I'll put stainless steel ones on that don't. It is a pita to clean ur wheels one day and dirty the next.

Yeah I will just clean the back of my rims once a month so it doesn't ruin them.

Re: Rusted brake rotors

I only drive mine 2-3 times a week and mine don't rust. It's kept in a garage though...
