Stage 3

Do dealers get better prices for Roush parts or is a 10% discount like from RRC [1] a better deal? And is each dealer's prices going to vary? Plan to do my own work but wasn't sure about the blower that to get 3ry/36000 mile warranty would be good if only dealer installed.

Call Tousley..most dealers are going to mark up everything.

Vmp has best prices on roush blower and mastered tuning it. Specially since they help design it.

What pisses me off is Roush won't sell the RS3 badging post title. GRR!!! Have to buy it with the badging. Such a load of crap! I talked to the sales and said they need a way to 'certify' RS3's to provide a serial number versus a built one so can have same badges.

Why would you want stage 3 badges if it isn't a true stage 3. Hence not built by roush?

I don't think the vin shows up that's a roush. My roush is an original roush stage 1. I have the documentation for it, but when I read the vin number to the bank when I was purchasing it, it only came up as a mustang gt.

This is true. Its the plaque and documents that make it stand out.

Makes sense because it was an original GT with mods added.

Guess I see the 'stage 3' as an accomplishment and if I used the same parts but built myself is it different than a 'built by roush'? Just built by me. I know small potatoes but just erks me. Guess if I don't badge it I'm a sleeper stang.

Re: Stage 3

Yes I definatly see it as an accomplishment too. One day when I can afford it, I will do that.

Re: Stage 3

Well, took my first step in converting my GT to a Stage 3. Already have the body mods I want and now onto badging. Then the SC. Gotta do this in stages otherwise the boss will get upset.
Ordered the following from stage3motorsports.com which in the end was $100 cheaper than roushperformance.com and free shipping

Mustang Roush "R" Fender Badge
Mustang Roush Billet Pedal Kit (Manual)
Mustang Roush Illuminated Door Sills
Mustang GT / GT500 5.0L Roush Axle-Back Exhaust System
Mustang Roush Rear Decklid Badge with "R" Logo
Mustang Roush Center Console Badge

Will post pics and video of the change in the exhaust note from stock.
