Got my 2013 5.0 today!

Five Star Ford called me last night and told me my car would be ready by the morning so this morning I went and did all the paperwork and took the keys. Here she is!

First mod should be coming in in about a week or two. Rouch axle backs. They're on back order... I'm trying to wait about 6 months or so before I start throwing stuff on it. If anything would happen it would happen in the first 6 months. But plans are 3.90 gears, ORX, Barton Short Throw Kit, Light Bar, and a few other appearance mods. Oh and window tint, black stripe, and side scoop coming up in a week or so!

Mod list looks great, and the Roush axle-backs are an awesome starting point. They are retarded racecar loud with an offroad X though, check my sig for vids. Those gears would match a Boss IM well also ...

nice! I do wish they would not put those stupid tag plates on the car without asking you first... they make kits that wont drill into the bumper where its required

regardless, enjoy the car!

That is debatable. I had a Barton with no issues. 100% better then stock one. Specially adding the bracket. Know lots people with Barton that are extremely happy.

Ya in not saying that the Barton is bad in my personal opinion the mgw is better. Mgw builds each shifter to order and have none in stock but the Barton is a good product just think mgw is better

Have you used both on the new 5.0? I have actually. And with the 5.0 they actually have been behind for the longest time. Don't really build to order. They just took so long to come out that they had to fill orders that was placed when they said would be released 2 yrs ago. And it never made it out.

Congrats on the 5.0. If the Roush axle backs are on back order check out the SLP's for the 2011 and up. Just put a set on my 2012 Boss 302 and it sounds rediculous !! lol Congrats again

SLPs are ridiculous indeed ... the Roush is a bit more "refined" but still plenty loud.

Yeah I was planning on the Boss IM but I've heard mixed opinions so I don't really know what to believe. Some say it's amazing and it's a must for the 5.0, but others say it actually slows down their quarter mile time. So I'm on the fence on that one..

Just ones from the dealership. They'll look just like the 11's and 12's. I said side scoops by the way, not a hood scoop just incase you were confused. Lol.

I actually was kind of mad about that... I asked him if they would take it off and they said they would but I'll still have the holes... I really wish they would've asked me first. It's my car. I payed for it. I should choose whether or not to drill holes in the bumper.

Is the MGW shifter as easy to install as the Barton? Just curious.

Congrats! It looks great. Looks like you have a good mod list as well. As far as the short throw, you can't go wrong with either barton or MGW. They are both top notch. For the exhaust, I have pype bombs. They are muffler deletes, so they are pretty loud (like SLP). Roush sounds great too though. Either way, it would be stupid loud with an offroad x lol.

Yes ... it's a "feature" added by the comfort pack IIRC.
