Soon I hope. I didn't get time to do a base with the stick so I'm going in blind. I will post results when I get it done.

From the 12.7 1/4 mi stock run, how much of a difference do u think this type of setup would do on a 1/4 mi run? Just curious

Re: Mr. Whipple

Sorry but the ford tunes suck. A guy I seen with a 624hp kit with LT's and off raod x pipe only made 549whp. That is really said actually. Specially for a 9k blower.

The above kit shoudl still get you 11.5@ the track. I mean after all my buddies bolt on car ran 11.00@124 and only makes roughly 420whp. He is the fastest stock long block auto in the country.

Of course, but getting that install and tune let's them keep that warranty and I think alot of people look at it like that. It's awesome that you get to keep the warranty but kind of a let down because of the conservative tune.

+1 That and some people might just be content with that amount of power. Not everyone needs 1000hp at the wheels!!

Agreed but damn if you are gonna spend that much and not get alot of power you are really doing it for the warranty.

Re: Mr. Whipple

Also remember the 624 kit doesn't keep warranty anyway. So getting it and then doing a custome tuen would be best. YOur out of warranty anyway. So screw it.

Where do you guys dyno? I would like to try make it out.

I would be be mad I spent that on a blower and it only made them numbers. I have less then 5k in my blower and less then 8K in my whole car with power mods and apperance. And it put down over 640whp on a dynojet an over 580 on a mustang dyno.

on that should have new times this friday.

Cause he keeps the Warranty with Ford.

I would go Roush over whipple. But thats me. Buying a blower here is the order I would go.

1.(tied) Paxton
1. (Tied)Roush
Procharger
Vortech
Whipple non Ford kit
KB

If you plan to make big power go Paxton. It is the best one for not having to upgrade blower.

Re: Mr. Whipple

I did go with the Whipple because of the warranty. But the warranty is only for 12 months / 12,000 miles. So when expired all bets are off. I'm just playing it safe for the time being. I went into this expecting that the Ford tune would be very conservative, knowing after the warranty expired I could get a custom tune and should get a lot more out of it. Plus I will more than likely have more mods later on. I’m satisfied with the increase power (small gains by some), but then again I wasn’t looking for a too much more. In addition, for the gains and the gains I can hopefully increase later with a custom tune, the cost difference between this and going N/A to me was minimal and in the end I felt I would get more power in the long run with the Whipple versus N/A…

I too planned to go different pulley once out of warranty. Roush says you can make up to 750 on a tune. Not that I want to go there and blow something I'd stick more in the 600's. What can you get with the Whipple?

I'm not sure yet, something I didn't look into, but will later. I'm very happy with the current setup. I just need to get it on a dyno. I have no doubt I will get more power out of it with a custom tune. Closer to 500 and just over would be the goal. Right now I don't think I need more.
