Brembo problems

Anybody having any kind of issues with their Brembo brakes? Mine are squeaking pretty bad....is it just the pads need replaced?

They are meant for racing so they can get really hot and still work well.. Only problem is that they squeak until they are warmed up pretty good.. As far as I know all of them do it.. There was a thread where several people said had same issue.. Different pads should cure it but yours should still be ok unless you just stand on your brakes constantly..

Heat them up. you may need to bed them in again. do 10 70-10 runs in a row let it cool down then do it again.

Re: Brembo problems

I've got 25,000 miles on mine and hardly ever hear a peep out of mine. Only time I've heard any thing is after I've been running them hard the next day they are a little noisy at stops, but goes away after that.

I have Brembo as well on my 2012 5.0. Mine do squeak but I am pretty sure it is because the pads are semi-metallic as opposed to ceramic or other materials. It is perfectly normal!

I'm not sure what to tell you all. There are pretty much two types of brake pads out there, ones that are designed to be quiet and put off minimal dust, and ones that are designed to stop your car as quickly as possible. It doesn't take a wild imagination to figure out which ones would be used on brembos brakes.

Sometimes I think people get the brembos for the looks, not realizing what they are. Similar to the guys who bought a "track pack" car and are pissed about not having a spare tire.

Probably, depends on the pads they used. I know vette owners ***** about this too. You can probably find pads that will be low noise and low dust, at the cost of increased stopping distance and less bite.

My brother has an STI and they squeak too. Its annoying but its nothing to be concerned with. I work for a Ford dealer and he works for a Subaru dealer. The technicians have assured us that its nothing to be worried about.
