Warranty

So this is my first car with warranty, what would void my warranty? Would tune and supercharging my 5.0 void it?

Re: Warranty

Unless you went Ford Racing Supercharger 525HP...I have found out that even if you went with say a Whipple (non Ford Racing) you can buy insurance through them...

Correct Ford Racing, and it has to be installed by the dealer last I checked. Ford Racing is good stuff.

Just about anything... Might get away with axlebacks. Tune is a definite, they can tell even if you return it to stock on the new cars.

So basically anything, except for boltons, great, is there an actual website where you can see what voids the warranty?

Bottom line for most dealers, but check with your local for sure. The entire warranty is not voided if mod a part on your vehicle and it causes the problem then that issue is not going to be covered under warranty because the modded part caused the problem. Just my two cents and my experience.

Even most bolt ons void your warranty. There is no list, it's seriously everything. Ford is really cracking down on these things.

It's a business they're trying to run, keep that in mind. Fixing things that you broke is not profitable.

That's correct and it says that in the fine print which I've read. It's nothing new. They just updated it.

Well if you go through Ford it's not. A lot of people go that route.

If you have ford racing parts purchased and installed through ford. Would be more economical to just buy a gt500 for what they charge lol.

That's what you agreed to when you bought the car, and signed the papers. And rightfully so, if manufactures had to cover issues caused by after market parts, they'd be bankrupt.

Has Ford gone overboard with some things? Yes like changing a stock air filter out with a stock filter your self. That's a little over board.

Im just saying, Ford will charge you more for the parts than anyone else, and their install rates are likely to be higher than just about any speed shop.
