Retune for wider tires?

Is a retune required for getting a wider tire size on all four corners? Car is 2011 5.0 and stock tires were 255/40/19 and now I'm running 275/40/19. Would I need a tune on this or no? I spoke to bama and one guy said yes and another said no. Now I'm confused. Lol.

No!.. The only time you would need to retune due to tires, is if you change the diameter size!.. But just for width then no!...

Re: Retune for wider tires?

255/40 and 275/40 would be different diameters ...

So the answer to your question is two-fold. No, you do not need a retune for wider tires, but you will need a retune for the tires you are switching to.

Also, "need" is a relative term since it would just result in your speedo being off by a bit.
