The hellion kits suck period. Seen to many people get them and have issues on the new 5.0's. Not making power they claim, not running times they claim, having back pressure issues etc.

Why think hellion/bbr don't run the cars they have with this kit. Funny bbr built a car with hellion kit but used parts from a procharger kit. Then sprayed nitrous on it also to make fancy dyno numbers of 900whp+. But yet the car has been done for almost two years and never made a track pass. Even after they said several times it would. They take it to track to show off and run mouths about its power but magically then don't have time to run it.

Does STS makes kits for these cars? I know Krc Performance built a 1000hp Challenger using a twin STS turbo setup. And that was on the 6.1liter. I think they had to fab up the piping though. I tig weld so that wouldn't be a big deal.

Est kit period is the TT kit from lund racing. 8500 for it but capable of making almost 1500whp and been proven. Comes with air to water intercooler. Ran 10.3 in a stock stall auto. That even includes Jon Lund flying to you and tuning car in person for that price.

Re: buddys turbo 5.0

Hellion actually claims 600whp+ on 5lbs. With a 63mm turbos on there TT kit.

The top mount kit is adjustable from 5 psi to over 25 psi. A 5 psi setting will make
over 600 rwhp on a bone stock car. The kit has the ability to make 1200rwhp if a
built engine is chosen.Hellion Power Systems - Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, and Charger Turbo Systems

They then claimed 600whp on a 67mm turbo on single kit.
A 6 psi base setting will make over 600 hp, and the system is capable of 950hp—try that with a twin-screw! Call Hellion today for maximum performance.

System Includes:

- Precision billet 67mm turbo
- All stainless steel construction (lifetime warranty)
- Turbosmart Wastegate
- Hand held tuner with program
- 52 lb injectors
2011 5.0 Mustang Turbo System - 500 - 950+ hp capable

That may be an I have talked to them several times. The 600whp was with a bigger turbo and some changes. Not same kit they sell to every one.

Re: buddys turbo 5.0

I'm interested in seeing how this turns out? I've heard some real good stories about the Hellion compound boost set ups on the 03-04 Cobras. I've heard mixed reviews on the S197 cars but I'd like to hear a review from someone who has installed and owned one... I to will eventually be going turbo or twin turbo on my 2012 GT... Good luck!
