Tire upgrade for stock 18" GT

I Searched the board, and couldn't find the topic, so my apologies if it's been answered.

My 2011 GT premium is in need of tires (more in the rear)
My question is has anyone else mounted anything different than the stock size?
I'm looking at 255/45zr/18 Nittos from AM, and the stock size is 235/50zr/18 Pzero's.

There is no price difference from the 235 to the 255 so that isn't a factor.

Thanks a bunch!

Those will fit for sure, I have sumis htr z 3 of the same exact size on my stock 18s, and I hear nittos run a tad smaller than most so fitment should be fine

FYI... American muscle doesn't have great tire prices. Shop around before buying anything.
