Re: positrack?

No...and it's Traction-Lok for Mustang, same basic principle. Plates of steel and fiber in a stack. Pretty sure everybody gets T-lok, 11 and up, V6 and V8.

I haven't heard a lot about these rear ends in this newer s197. So how is the track-loc holding up with the higher Hp crowd? Anyone swapping out to a gear-type locker? The clutches on my 88 5.0 were junk and it was one-legging it after 1 year of driving.

Re: positrack?

A restack was all that was necessary, even with the 28 spline 8.8s. These are stronger, as delivered but, starting from 400, which would be a helluva modified old-school 5.0, they have to be.

Now, of course 600 horse is a easy few mouse clicks away so, you can predict you'll need to upgrade there, before too long, especially if you slick it.

It's an 8.8 so, all this ground is well-trodden, regardless.
