Re: boss manifold

from what I've read...boss manifold helps when tuned and at least catless midpipe exhaust.

Re: boss manifold

I just bought a Boss manifold. Most people seem happy with it. Wnt2gofst was full bolt on on his manual before he went FI...he probably has best experience.

I'm running mine with an offroad x pipe and it's amazing. Save the money and skip on the cai, I have a thread around here somewhere galling about what part number you need to order from ford (inlet tube).

My manual had a blower on it before got rid of it. Put down just shy of 700whp. Issue was transmission couldn't hold it.

I have tested both and still have mixed feelings about it but currently I've been running my stock intake to get into the 11s but once done I'll be testing the boss again

That blows, my dealership was able to order one and have it the next day. They don't carry FRPP parts either, so I'm not sure why yours has such a holdup.

Firstly, I've installed cai, o/r x-pipe and bama tune. One can feel the result of these mods. But than I took the next step which included two mods: 3.73 gear and boss manifold. Car became undisputed... I don't fell any loss at low rpm. Car goes like a big train.

3.73s Is too low of a gear with the Boss you will do better with stock

I'm pretty sure that the Boss 302 comes with a 3.73 gear...

You want 3.73 gears or higher with a boss intake. Perfect gear choice is 3.90 gears for manual. Auto is a different story.

Cams? Thought we were talking about gears? 3.73 is not too low.. 3.73s or 3.90s

The boss only has its intake or exhaust cams different. Other is same would have to look back up. It also has cnc'd heads, different springs, valves, and forged internals. Different crank also. It comes with 3.73 gears. Option for better diff, and different suspension. Its also lighter then a base GT.
