Re: New intake

Thought about it. Want the blackout look but the Steeda is fine by me. It looks pretty slick.

I use a JLT carbon fiber CAI with my boss manifold and couldn't be happier.

It's hard to tell by the picture I saw, but is the BBK metal or plastic?

I've heard good things about Steeda but with being open is it subject to hot air being generated by a supercharger? I watched a video from Roush that the closed CAI was intentional to keep heat out of intake. Anyone have comments? I plan to get a hood with heat extractors like the '13 but not off the bat. So it might be a moot point. Just wondering...

The Steeda CAI is closed when the hood is closed.. The hood seals against the rubber gasket on top of the CAI shield..

My steeda CAI with the boss intake does seal out hot air from the engine compartment. It seals along the hood line when the hood is shut.
