Looks good! black wheels and tint for sure. Skip the CAI, they don't give any performance increase on these cars.

Save the money and go with the a pypes/flowmaster/magna flow cat back. Sounds just as good and a lot cheaper.

nitrous is alot cheaper than a blower. and with a 150shot and full boltons with boss intake and custom dyno tune you can see a lilttle over 600 at tires. saw it yesterday.

---------- Post added at 03:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:11 PM ----------

if you dont mind using a bottle that is.

Re: '13 GT

I did the Nitrous thing before. And it gets old filling bottles. 50-60 Every time. Not to mention time you buy full bolt ons and the nitrous kit you will spend just as much as a blower and more actually. Nitrous have to fill bottle and hope it don't run out. Blower never runs out. And don't need a bunch bolt ons to make 600whp with a blower. Blower/x pipe and thats it.

ive had notrous on all my cars as well as my bike. the one at the shop yesterday. was kooks longtubes offroad x stock axleback. bossintake jlt coldair and nx plate system 150 shot. dyno tumed 620 at tires. a lot cheaper then a blower with same boltons

---------- Post added at 03:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:27 PM ----------

*nitrous

---------- Post added at 03:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:28 PM ----------

there was also one out at fun ford weekend a few weeks ago at royal purple raceway that put down 630 with 150 shot

---------- Post added at 03:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:30 PM ----------

i was going the blower route till seeing this. nitrous is addictive alot more of a rush for me vs boost. i might still
go blower route once motor is built but will still have a bottle with it.

You don't need full exhaust and all trhat crap to make 620whp. I did it with just a blower/boss/off road x pipe. And I only have 4700 invested in blower setup. All new. And if you shop around you can get the blower for under 4k with a Paxton.

I had nitrous on my G8. Made 500whp 525wtq and ran mid 11's. And every weekend racing would spend 150 fillingh a bottle. That sucks. Going every weekenbd racing would cost minum of 5200 a year filling bottles. A complete waste. So after 1 year you will pay for a blower. Even if go 1 time a month it still cost you 1200 a year.

Kooks exhuast is 1300-1600
Boss intake 475
JLT 300
Nitrous kit 800-1400 depending on kit. That is heater and all.
Tune 400-600
total is 4000 basically. That is no labor for all that stuff also.and not counting having to fill bottles all time.

Blower-4500 on high side
and dyno tune 400-600
x pipe 250
so looking at around 500.

Never have t o worry about filling a bottle. Not having to worry about is the bottl ewarm enough. Not having to make excusses that you can't run because your bottle is empty or low.

How figure? Having to fill bottles all time? Then running less HP when not on the bottle cause timing is pulled for it. Less want to deal with swapping tunes all time for N/A and then nitrous tune.

you dont have to swap tunes i never have? mine was always set up to swap automatically when my switch to activate the system was turned on. plus you hid all the lines and solenoid. and bottle can be hidden easily. real good grudge racing there

---------- Post added at 04:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:20 PM ----------

i just prefer it simply bc i like the rush you get. i dont think you really feel a 100-125. but once u start messing around with 150-175+ its addicting.

---------- Post added at 04:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:26 PM ----------

i was leaning more towards the KB 2.8 for mine and its alot thats why i going bottle untill motor is built. already got a friend with a paxton and another with the hellion so was goi g a diff route

The KB are a waste on these cars. Period. We proved that on modularfords with debates against Matt@KB.

And your talking about trying to BS people. They going to know you have spray by way car runs. And I am fimliar with window switches. I would still have a true dyno n/a and nitrous tune. And not rely on a switch. One Guy did that and blew his engine on a new 5.0. Now he has a blower.

Look at the times that have been ran. And that is a high dyno then. Even on a 150 shot making 620. What KB was it? Look around guys with the KB 2.8 are making right around 530-550whp with that boost and x pipe. Even KB says that it should be around 550 on that boost.

Look at bolt 5.0 are making average of 430whp. Adding a 150 shot should equal around 580. And that is saying no loss in drivetrain. Which there is.

Read that thread.

No it actually shouldn't. Most kits are rated at the flywheel. Not at the wheels.

Since we're talking about FI and spray...how come not many are doing methanol injection once FI to give the extra octaned needed to turn up the boost.

Most are just going to E85. Again easier don't have to worry about another kit. And crap failing. Mixing stuff and make sure its full. Etc etc.

Ok, we don't have many e85 carrying stations around here, that's why I asked.

---------- Post added at 07:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:21 PM ----------

are these SCT custom tunes capable of changing over to pump gas if you can't get near an e85 carrying station. We have one 20miles away from me, but what if I can't get to it?

Wow the base GTs are looking sweet !! Did they do away with the cheap plasticky steering wheels? I know they all include the GT500 mudflaps now... not so bad getting a base anymore it seems

If you have a tune for both yes you could just swap tunes. With a blower though and tuned for E85 when you swap to a reggular gas tune. You would not want to beat on it. As it would be to much boost for just 93. Mkae sense?

Yes, I understand...currently I have a piggyback that I can switch tunes via steering wheel controls, that's why I asked. How long does it take to switch tunes? I still plan to buy your paxton when I get my mustang, but until then I will be full bolt on. Is it even worth getting an e85 tune being N/A?

And so you know this 5.0 is on a 50 shot. It is a guy I know form others. On a 100 shot it made 460whp. So bolt ons and 50 shot bigger is going to add almost 200hp..Don't think so.

Well it's nice to know the new base13s are not a bad package at all... cuz honestly the 10-12 base are very cheap looking compared to the premiums that's y I didn't hesitate to get a premium
