To the op, while I will say that I absolutely love my 11 5.0, we are just a bunch of mustang nuts on the Internet that all want you to have the coolest thing since sliced bread. But we know nothing about your personal life or financial situation. That said I urge you to go with whatever would be smartest and not something that wi you in trouble financially or make you anorexic (in reference to one of the guys saying they would starve themselves haha). Either way, best of luck.

Now for my opinion on the matter, get a used 11 or 12 if possible!!

I'm going with the 2010. And honestly, what 18 year old needs 412 hp?? Haha. But the 10 is a blacked out manual, so I think I'll be 100% happy with it atleast through college. And especially after I get the American thunder

I was in this same boat when I was in college only for me it was the 210 hp v6 vs the 300 hp gt... 90 hp difference about the same as your 90 hp difference but you also get an extra gear.

I ended up modding that thing so much just to run slightly slower than the base GT and in the end I spent the same and traded it in on a 5.0 so someone else got all the mods and I spent the same... Don't make a decision you'll regret

First decide what you can and can not afford!.. Then find what you like that is in your price range!.. Then try to factor in if you can keep up on the payments if you have a "slight hiccup" in your income!.. If it's going to stretch you thin then don't do it!.. No need to kill yourself just so you can have the "newest toy!.." I know a guy who did just that!.. He no longer owns a Corvette, a bike, or a house!..

I proudly own a 2010 mustang gt and I have dumped a lot of money for my cali 500hp but it was my first new mustang and tuning and everything was all new so I know now what to not do but its been fun and when the 2015 comes around this will be paid off and then I can get a nice cruising car and keep this as my race car for the weekends.

Re: 2010 Mustang GT

For the difference in prices between a used 2010 and 2011 you could make that up picking up an extra few hours at work if you're part time or if you're full time I would work a couple hours at the newest gas station to get a 2011/12.....I've had 3.....4.6 gts...2000, 1996 vert, 2005 but none compare to my 2011 5.0 plus all my stangs were fixed up n got compliments but my 5.0 (at the time) was stock n I get more compliments just because it's a 5.0 but now since its modded I cant even enjoy my music without ppl honking asking me what kinda 5.0 you have.....all the other 4.6 envy me! But get what u can just make sure it has 8 cylinders and a manual and most important.....it says Ford Mustang....hate Chevy!
